A GOD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Some think of God as a tyrant harsh, Who demands a way of life That robs one of happiness and wealth, Bringing constant woe and strife.
"You can't do this," and "You can"t do that," So many rules to obey -- They live in fear of dire punishment If from His favor they stray.
They have no knowledge of the true God Who is but loving and kind -- They are bound by superstition dark, Satan has blinded man's mind.
God does not want man to live in dread But victoriously each day -- He's given us guidelines in His Word And will bless when we obey.
We can find refuge under His wings -- A haven of safety sure. He is our Rock of Encouragement, We KNOW that He will endure!
