I am like a wave of the sea Blown and tossed by the wind I go this way and that Turned around so much I've lost my direction

But You are constant, O God Faithful as the tide You are the Rock I stand on You make a straight path before me

I am so insignificant One in a sea of others Why do You take time for me? Why am I so important to You?

'You are my child', You say You matter to me 'My thoughts of you are so many They outnumber the grains of sand'

Time and time again I fail Repeating the same mistakes I get on my knees to repent And then get up and stumble again

Then I remember Your grace It is sufficient for me Your unmerited favor Is as vast and as deep as the ocean

Praise be to the Lord our God! Maker of heaven and earth Faithful and constant as a rock As sure as the ebb and the tide
