Those words just seemed to haunt me The ones that preacher man had read They pierced my heart like a two-edged sword An unrelenting echo inside my head
"What are you going to do?" he asked, "With this Jesus who is called Christ?" "All have sinned and the wages are death." He said Jesus had died for me, He paid the price.
I left that church in a hurry and vowed I wouldn't let those words affect me at all But a seed had been planted and it started to grow The next Sunday I answered God's call
I went down on my knees and begged forgiveness I accepted Jesus into my heart He washed away all my sins from before I trusted in Him and made a new start
When I'm asked now what I am going to do with Jesus Christ, I stand tall when I say I've surrenderd my soul, I've made Him Lord of my life I'll serve Him all the rest of my day

Jim, I liked the poem. I'm glad you responded to His call and allowed the see to grow!
