The Pasture

Verse of the Day

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Down the trail I walk to a forest glen This old road that's seen better days Now the flowers and brush take up residence Forgiving and forgetting, now to live a new day Peaceful is the merry way of this narrow road This song of comfort that sings over me The breeze as it kisses, and the birds flutter Down the trail I can glimpse again to see The light breaking through to shower the glen The ruins and foundations left there for all time to be I come again all this long way to remember Longing to remember the place I first heard You sing to me.
