My glory was upon your land You trusted in My outstretched hand But trust waxed old and now you sleep America, for you I weep
Too blind to see you've turned up lame You're proud of what should cause you shame You close your eyes and treat life cheap America, for you I weep
Not mindful of the wind that blows You've scattered seeds you shouldn't sow A bitter harvest you will reap America, for you I weep
You scramble to the world's door But don't acknowledge your own poor You're drowning in delusion deep America, for you I weep
You're hearts are hard from unbelief You pile up sorrow, pain and grief Through Satan's hoops you boldly leap America, for you I weep
Now miserable, naked, poor and blind Weak of heart and sick of mind So much like scattered flocks of sheep America, for you I weep
There is nothing that I can't forgive Return to Me and you will live You used to pray, my soul to keep. America, for you I weep
And My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sins and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
