Verse of the Day

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

To An Unknown God

Athens… a beautiful city of terraces and olives,

Today I took my time and strolled In search of beauty, knowledge old I found from more than passing glance That you are those who take no chance You seek to leave no stone unturned To put in practice what you learn I noticed something fairly odd A tribute “to an unknown god”

A true opportunity here…

You worship whom you do not know Yet it is He I've come to show The truth of who He is, I bring In Him we move and have our being And toward Him He would have us grope To give us life, to give us hope Your poets say, His children we As from creation we shall be

If we are His children, then We truly shouldn't think of Him As gold, as silver, precious stone True worship is for Him alone He winked at times your ignorance spent But now commands all to repent For He has rightly fixed a day To judge the world His righteous way

His only Son, His chosen Man, His choice before the world began Will sit upon the judgment seat And truth and justice he will mete How will we see this come to pass? When time's end will come at last? He proved the truth in what He said By raising this Man from the dead

Based on Acts 17: The apostle Paul and his dialogue with the men of Athens

What a wonderful truth! It truly is sad that so many there in Athens to watch the games do not know the God who gave human beings all these abilities and helps them stay healthy to use them. They keep showing all the ruins which are as hollow as the souls of those who will not believe.

Thank you again Geneva... and yes, I agree. Civilizations come and go and if people would recognize that the ruins point to just that, THEN maybe they would realize that without our God they are destined to ruin. God bless you!

A VERY BEAUTIFUL POEM.
