Can you hear me crying? Can You hear me, Lord? Don't you know I'm trying? Can You hear me, Lord? You've asked me just to trust you and most assuredly I do, But the pain in which I'm living keeps wearing right on through. I want to be Your witness, Lord. So it is for Your will I pray. If this is how I must live, then don't take any of it away. Jeremiah said wait seventy years and then see God's plans for you. I know Your thoughts go higher, Lord, than any of mine will do. I will wait my seventy times seven if You say that it must be. Because I still remember, Lord, what Your Son has done for me. When the pain is too much for this poor sinner's heart to bear, I'll cry out in my sorrow, Lord, just to know that You're still there. When You hear me crying, will You tell me, Lord? When You know how hard I'm trying, will You show me, Lord? Just whisper in that still, quiet voice that Your will is here And I will hold that hope of faith knowing that You are near. I am where You placed me, Lord, so let Your will be done. Even through a night of tears, I still glorify Your Son. It was my sin that He bore upon that grace filled tree. I will bear what must be done after what He did for me. When I feel most alone, I'll remember how it must have been For the Lamb that had no spot to turn black beneath my sin. So strengthen me and let me stand beneath the weight of this pain. Help me to give You glory and I will count it all gain.
