God the Son, there in heaven, glorious and bright, All the holy angels giving praise in His sight, Willingly left all that, His Father to obey, Born of a virgin, humankind, one special day.

God the Son, laid aside what He rightfully owned, Voluntary humiliation, not dethroned, Not exploiting equality on His mind, Came to earth to live and die for all humankind.

God the Son became a man, a servant, a slave, Totally submissive unto death, us to save. In agony of His soul He sweat drops of blood, Then took my sin to the cross that new Life might bud.

God the Son, laid low in a grave on that Friday, Vitality, waiting Holy Life to display. He arose, my guarantee of new Life above, Left the Holy Spirit to indwell me in love.

God the Son sits highly exalted on His throne. His Name above ev'ry name one day will be known. Ev'ry knee will bow and ev'ry tongue will confess He is Lord! Do it now...your new Life He will bless!
