Verse of the Day

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Reaching Out

Life

Teardrops rolling down her face, Longing to fill her heart's empty space. Lost and lonely, searching, confused Life has left her broken, bruised. Reaching for approval, possessions and lies, Finding that nothing she has satisfies. Blinded by sin, not seeing the way, That it's only through Jesus that she can be saved.

As Christians we know the purpose of life, But our silence condemns others to pain and strife. Ones like her live around us, and never even know, The wonderful truth we choose not to show. It's very serious, with each taken breath, A person somewhere chooses life or death. Our calling is to show them the way, To tell them the debt of their sin has been paid. Jesus died and rose again, So they could be free from the bondage of sin. Take seriously this race we must run, And reach out to the lost until life's journey is done.

It is our duty to reach them, even if only showing love and praying for them that we do not have their blood on our hands. When given opportunity, we should do them good, talk to them about the Lord. Some won't let us talk to them, so we have to live it that they may be condemned or converted through the truth we show. Nice poem.
