There was No One

Adam and Eve, the serpent, (ole Satan), did deceive. Beguiled so, they did sin, (and My heart), they did grieve. From Paradise, the Garden (called Eden), they did leave. From that sad day, all mankind, (to today), won't believe.

I then looked down, upon earth (spanned the world), didn't find one righteous soul, one who cared (or who dared) to be kind. There was no one, no, not one, (except Me) up above to span that gulf they did make (thru' their sin), that had love.

I came to earth, as a babe (became flesh), hungered, cried. I grew in grace, in the Lord (wisdom too), how I tried to teach them all, some refused (and rebelled), how I sighed! I was betrayed, sad to say (by a friend), crucified.

There was no one, none to help (but My God), He said no. There was no one, none to save (but the world), this was so. There was no one, none that stayed (all afraid), nor the sun. There was no one, none that prayed (but Myself), only one. There was no one but Myself Who could save your poor soul. I'm the reason, yea, just Me, (thru' My blood), you are whole.
