A questioning look fills His countenance, A sting of guilt pricks my heart, "Lord, you know that I love you", "Feed my lambs." He turns to depart,
"What did I say that upset Him", I think as I look His way, Once again He turns and asks, With almost a look of dismay...
I anticipate His question, and ponder what He meant, I answer slowly this time, with much more intent, "Lord, I love you, Thou knowest me." I stand and wait in earnest, What will His answer be?
"Feed my lambs",once more He said, I looked into His eyes, A million thoughts run through my mind, but then to my surprise,
Before I thought to answer, He asked me one more time, Now I, determined to please Him, I laid all things aside.
My heart fully surrendered, My eyes fixed on Him, I answered, "Lord, I love You." He answered, "Feed my lambs."
