Given to the darkest deep, despair was my lone friend.
A hated soul mate, wicked sin would seal my fiery end.
Mind and heart depraved, I hung in constant pain and fear.
Until my Saviour raised me up, and darkness disappeared.
O joy that fills my soul! O love that bore my heart to Thee!
Now I, a former slave to sin can feel this liberty!
I, quickened by His radiant love, must tell each soul on Earth,
the news of Jesus' love for all, and gift of second birth.

great poem, it reminded me of Eph.2:6-7: And God raised us up with Christ ....in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparible riches of His grace....

I'm a sinner saved by grace, too!
Wonderful!
