It snowed last night, but I'm thankful For a cozy home to keep us warm. The Pilgrims had none, but were looking To God for freedom, not the norm In England from where they journeyed.

The Mayflower was a small ship, Sighting land, a day to remember. Faith and practice didn't unite them all When they arrived that September On the shores of America..

Then a covenant unified One hundred ten souls at Plymouth Rock. Weather was fierce, shelter their concern, There were no doors on which to knock. Sixty of them died that winter.

Indians taught them how to plant Corn with added fish to fertilize. Squanto's help was invaluable. He was friendly, helpful and wise. The harvest gave them food to spare.

Bradford proclaimed a day of thanks. The Indians, too, were invited. God had provided and they praised Him, Pilgrims, Indians, delighted, Eating a fine meal together.

The next year, very hot and dry, Threatened to burn them and all their crops. God fearing Pilgrims fasted and prayed For God's mercy...send rain was tops. Wonderful, blessed rain came and they gratefully praised God!
