Inscribed upon the cloudy dome of heav'n, I see in silver ink, the Master's hand. The scrape of mighty quill on paper scriv'n Doth after peal and echo glories grand.
God's mercies fall to pelt the thirsty ground. And borne upon the cooling wind to fly, The songs of Heaven's declaration sound, And crack majestically through the sky.
Yet e'en with stormy gales and thund'ring light, The Glory of the Lord is not all here. As through a glass we darkly see His might, Till one day when our Saviour doth appear!
The day God His full glory doth reveal All people, angels, devils, there will kneel!
