DRAINED

            Now's the time to face the fact
            What I am has had it's day
            And as I speak about my past
            The strength I own all drains away
            For I am built of imperfection
            Construction of a self made life
            Creation marred by infiltration
            I am full of pain and strife.

            Now's the time to let Him have me
            Need His strength to carry on
            All my building blocks lie shattered
            Leave a base to build upon
            I know that my reconstruction
            Will be perfect, kingdom made
            Come Lord Jesus, be the artist
            Your foundations to be laid.
